Grant Increases Organization's Ability to Serve the Disabled
Integrated computer system will connect 350 staff from more than five locations
St. Louis, Dec 2 -St. Louis Arc will now be able to improve services by providing a way to track and monitor individual client's health information. The agency, which serves 3,500 people with developmental disabilities each year, has received a grant from the Missouri Foundation for Health (MFH) in the amount of $78,475. The grant will provide a new integrated case management information system.
With this new system, St. Louis Arc will more easily track immunizations, prescriptions, doctor appointments, lab tests, nutrition and insurance. It will also allow for creation of a referral database of doctors, therapist and dentists who accept patients with Medicaid and disability. Staff in many locations will be interconnected, which will aid in eliminating data inaccuracies and data entry duplication.
