MFH Informational Meetings Planned for Wentzville, St. Louis
St. Louis, Mo., Sept. 30 -Organizations in metropolitan St. Louis area
who are interested in improving health care in their communities
should attend an upcoming meeting hosted by Missouri Foundation
for Health (MFH). Attendees can learn more about grant programs
available through MFH, as well as more about MFH.
The meetings are scheduled for:
Wentzville, October 20, 10 am - Noon, St. Charles City-County
Library District, 1200 Corporate Parkway.
St. Louis, October 22, 10 am - Noon, Regional Arts Commission,
6128 Delmar.
The meetings are free and designed for nonprofits focusing
on community action, health care, community development, and
faith-based services, along with community service clubs and
other human service providers and community leaders.
Currently, MFH funds grants to address specific health issues
(tobacco usage, obesity, asthma, diabetes, dental care, mental
health/substance abuse, women's health) and provide operations
support.

Established in 2000, MFH is the largest non-governmental funder
of community health activities in Missouri. MFH is in its
sixth year of grantmaking, having issued $300 million in grants
and awards to date. It is dedicated to serving the uninsured,
underinsured and underserved in 84 Missouri counties and the
City of St. Louis.
