MFH Informational Meetings Planned for Salem
St. Louis, Mo., Sept 30 -Organizations in south-central Missouri who
are interested in improving health care in their communities
should attend the upcoming meeting hosted by Missouri Foundation
for Health (MFH). Attendees can learn more about grant programs
available through MFH, as well as more about MFH.
The meeting in Salem is scheduled for: October 17, 1 - 3 pm,
at My Place, 500 E. Center Street.
The meeting is free and designed for nonprofits focusing on
community action, health care, community development, and
faith-based services, along with community service clubs and
other human service providers and community leaders.
Currently, MFH funds grants to address specific health issues
(tobacco usage, obesity, asthma, diabetes, dental care, mental
health/substance abuse, women's health) and provide operations
support.

Established in 2000, MFH is the largest non-governmental funder
of community health activities in Missouri. MFH is in its
sixth year of grantmaking, having issued $300 million in grants
