Foundation Asks for the Community's
Opinions on Health
Local citizens are invited to speak and discuss
the health needs of their area
St. Louis, Mo., April
28 - The Missouri Foundation
for Health (MFH) will hold a public health forum in Stockton
on Tuesday, May 18 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Stockton R - 1
School Cafeteria , 906 South St in Stockton.
The purpose of the forum will be to introduce MFH to the community
and to receive feedback from attendees on the unmet health
care needs in their area. Invitees include individuals and
community members from communities in Cedar, Barton, Dade
and Polk county. The local co-sponsor for the forum is the
Cedar County Memorial Hospital. Information gathered from
the forum will aid the Missouri Foundation for Health in future
strategic grantmaking efforts.
The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will
be provided.
Established in January of 2000 through the for-profit conversion
of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Missouri, MFH is the largest
health care foundation in the state and the second largest
health conversion foundation in the country. Its vision is
to improve the health of the people in the communities it
serves. The Foundation is in its third year of grantmaking.
