Description: The Rural Healthy People 2010 project wants tomaximize the impact of Healthy People 2010 on health conditions in ruralAmerica. Description: The Rural Information Center (RIC), part of theNAL, provides information and referral services to local, state and federalgovernment officials; community organizations; rural electric and telephonecooperatives; libraries; businesses and rural citizens working to maintain thevitality of America's rural areas.
Information Available: A resource guide designed to helphospitals, clinics, community health centers and other rural health providerslearn more about various funding options to meet their capital needs. It is notintended to be comprehensive, but to represent examples of federal grants,direct loans and loan guarantee programs, foundation funding and otherresources that may be potential sources of capital support.

Description: The Rural Health Research Center (RHRC) Programis designed to help policy makers betterunderstand the problems that rural communities face in assuring access tohealth care for their residents. This is the only Federal program that isdedicated entirely to producing policy-relevant research on health care inrural areas. Initiated in 1988, it is administered by the Office of RuralHealth Policy (ORHP), Health Resources and Services Administration.

Description: A product of the U.S. Department of Health andHuman Services’ Rural Initiative, the Rural Assistance Center (RAC) wasestablished in December 2002 as a rural health and human services “informationportal”.
