American Telemedicine Association (ATA)

Description: The ATA promotes access to medical care for consumers and health professionals via telecommunications technology. ATA seeks to bring together diverse groups from traditional medicine, academic medical centers, telecommunications companies, medical societies, government and others to overcome barriers to the advancement of telemedicine through the professional, ethical and equitable improvement in health care delivery.

Information Available: a telemedicine buyer’s guide, resource center on the 2009 Economic Stimulus package,  conferences, forums, news, policy issues, journal articles and other opportunities for ATA members.


Telemedicine Information Exchange (TIE)

Description: TIE is a comprehensive, international, quality-filtered resource for information about telemedicine, telehealth, and telemedicine/telehealth related activities. The TIE is supported and maintained by the Association of Telehealth Service Providers.

Information Available: Latest news, searchable bibliographic database, active telemedicine programs, meetings, funding opportunities, journals, legislation, reimbursement and licensure issues.

Missouri Telehealth Network (MTN)

Description: MTN, housed at the University of Missouri, Columbia, has two major objectives: 1) to provide high quality specialty care in participating rural communities through the use of digital telecommunications technology, and 2) to evaluate the clinical utility and cost impact of telemedicine.

Missouri Economic Research and Information Center (MERIC)

Technology Report Card for Missouri
