Surveys

Views of Missouri Voters on Health Care

Presented at MFH's 2007 Health Summit, these survey findings provide information on the views of Missourians about health care. The findings are based on a May 10-14, 2007 telephone survey of 800 likely voters across the state of Missouri. Lake Research Partners (LRP) designed and conducted the survey. To analyze the data, LRP partnered with the Tarrance Group.

Views of Missouri Voters on Health Care Coverage

This summary provides an assessment of the attitudes of Missouri residents about health insurance. The results are based on a statewide survey of 500 registered voters in Missouri from April 9-12, 2005. Public Opinion Strategies conducted and analyzed the survey.

Missouri Employer Health Benefits Survey

This publication presents the results of a 2004 survey, conducted in Missouri with comparisons to data gathered by the same technique on the national level. The paper provides information on health insurance coverage gathered from a random sample of 404 interviews with employee benefits managers in private Missouri firms with three of more workers. Survey questions focus on the availability and cost of employee health insurance, cost-sharing mechanisms, types of health plans, retiree coverage and employer attitudes. Health Researchand Educational Trust (HRET) conducted and analyzed the survey.

Comparison of Missouri Uninsurance Survey Data Sources

This paper compares two recent surveys, the Missouri Health Care Insurance and Access (MHCIA) Survey and the Current Population Survey (CPS), which found differing percentages of Missourians that were uninsured in 2004. It discusses the sampling procedures and methodologies of each survey, concludes that the MHCIA provides a low estimate while CPS provides a high estimate and offers a new estimate for the numbers and percentages of Missourians that are uninsured.
