Missouri Foundation for Health Elects Kramme to Community Advisory Council


St. Louis, Mo., Jan. 27, 2010 --The Missouri Foundation for Health (MFH) has elected Carol Kramme to its Community Advisory Council (CAC).

Krammeis a registered nurse and health educator who has worked with underserved rural populations in southwest Missouri.  She is currently an instructor at Springfield, Mo.-based Cox College, a 600-student school that offers degree programs in nursing, medical assisting and other health care professions. 

 Kramme earned her undergraduate nursing degree from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Mo., and expects to complete a master’s degree in nursing in April.  She is a resident of Flemington in Polk County. 

MFH’s 13-member CAC works to gather community input on health issues affecting Missourians.  It informs the grantmaking decisions and strategic planning of MFH’s Board of Directors, with special focus on programs for the uninsured, underinsured and underserved.  The CAC also is responsible for nominating Board candidates each year.  CAC members can serve up to two consecutive three-year terms.

Established in 2000, MFH is the largest nongovernmental funder of community health activities in Missouri.  MFH is in its seventh year of grantmaking, having issued more than $361 million in grants and awards to date.  It is dedicated to serving the uninsured, underinsured and underserved in 84 Missouri counties and the City of St. Louis.
