Janna L. Stewart, JD

Before moving to rural Missouri, Janna Stewart spent more than 25 years as an attorney in public service in Alaska, where she lived in both rural and urban communities including Kodiak, Dillingham, Juneau, Bethel, Talkeetna, Wasilla, and Anchorage. In the executive branch and the judicial branch, she served as a magistrate, judicial educator, rural prosecutor, and criminal justice planner. She worked with grants, regulations, court rules, and legislation, and developed education and training materials on criminal law, civil law, and public health-related topics including child welfare, delinquency, child support, mental health, domestic violence and sexual abuse, and substance abuse. She joined the MFH Board in 2008.
